Privacy Policy

To generate your reading, Eastern Reading collects only the data you voluntarily submit:

• Your first name and email address
• Birth date, approximate birth time, and gender identification
• Basic analytics (IP address, referral source, page views) for service improvement

We do not collect your full legal name, address, phone number, or any financial information directly. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see your card details.

Your birth data is used only to calculate your BaZi chart and generate your personalized reading. Your email is used to deliver your reading and, if applicable, paid report receipts.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Your readings are not used to train AI models.

We use the following vendors to operate the service. Each has their own privacy practices, listed here for transparency:

• Supabase — stores your reading record (EU/SG data center).
• OpenAI — generates the narrative portions of the reading. Your name and birth details are sent in the prompt. OpenAI does not use API input for model training.
• Stripe — processes payments. Card data never touches our servers.
• Resend — delivers transactional emails.
• Vercel — hosts the application.

Your reading is retained indefinitely so you can revisit it via the link. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@easternreading.com. We will delete your record within seven days.

Regardless of where you live, you can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting hello@easternreading.com. Residents of the EU, UK, Australia, and California have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, the Privacy Act 1988, and CCPA respectively — those rights are honored.

We use only essential cookies required for page rendering and (minimal) privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.

We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
